Tourism Technology Asia Conference Takes On Optimising Hospitality Spaces with Technology

Applications of technologies in the hospitality industry are evolving and it is an inevitable change that all hospitality professionals need to understand and explore. How can technology alleviate operational pain points, improve productivity, reduce costs, increase revenue, and help hospitality organizations create a competitive advantage?

The awaited Tourism Technology Asia Conference 2016 (TTA) will take place in 6 weeks from 20th to 21st July 2016 at Hall C, Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Singapore. It underlines the confidence in Conference and Exhibitions as one of the key drivers to elevate productivity for the hospitality and tourism spaces in Singapore and the region through the adoption of latest technologies to increase ROI.

The S$700 million investment to a third tranche of the Tourism Development Fund (TDF) between 2016 and 2020 for transforming and boosting the tourism sector in Singapore in the aspects of product development, technology & innovation, and manpower, will give a strong boost for organizations to consider upgrading with smart technologies to stay on top of the competition, as well as to relieve the manpower crunch.

Meetings and event spaces are significant revenue drivers in the hospitality industry. Yet hotels and other hospitality venues now have to contend with increased supply, and new competition from various other venue owners – dedicated meeting space venues, repurposing of tourism assets into meeting spaces, remote meetings with technologies like webinars and screen sharing, and the list goes on.

This year’s Tourism Technology Asia Conference will thus take on the pressing theme of “How Technologies can Boost Competitive Advantage in Hospitality Event Spaces”. The 1.5 Day TTA Conference (20 – 21 July 2016), is held in conjunction with the TTA / Pro AVL Exhibition which will take place at the Hall C, Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre.

The conference will include panel discussions, case studies, and networking sessions for hospitality professionals to discuss trends and technological solutions impacting the tourism and hospitality industry and event spaces.

Hospitality Professionals involved in making key software and hardware decisions to create a more efficient, productive, and attractive venue for their customers across the globe are invited to attend. A sequence of C-level leaders and experts in the technology landscape will share their knowledge and discuss topics such as:

  • Redefining Hospitality Technologies by Mr Raymand Dumanauw, VP of Technology and M.E.P. Services at HPL Properties Pte Ltd
